Everyone knows it: plant based milks are a thing. Whether you’re ordering a cappuccino, or going groceries shopping, the options are - almost - endless. Almond, soy, rice, hemp, coconut, hazelnut, cashew, walnuts… you name it. In some places, you’d be hard-pressed to find milk that comes from a good ol’ cow.

One of the most famous vegan milk options, is oat milk and we’re betting, as enlightened as you are, that you’ve already tried it. Some people start consuming plant-based milk because of an allergy or dietary restriction, while others are driven by more ethical factors about the environment and consuming non-animal products. And of course, some people just think it tastes better.

Regardless of the type of oat milk consumer you are, you’re absorbing all of its health benefits. One cup of oat milk in fact, includes approx 10% of the daily quantity of iron you need; plus, because of the soluble fibre oats contain, it helps lowering cholesterol.

Usually, commercial plant-based milks are packed with extra sugar and additives but - spoiler alert - homemade oat milk is super easy to make, since it’s just that: oats + water.

Before you get your hands dirty with our version of oat milk latte, check out our Grass-Fed collagen peptides properties. That’s right, we’re adding collagen to oat milk. And we bet you’ll love it.

    Why add Collagen Peptides?

First of all, what does peptides mean, right? As stated in our beloved Wikipedia, they are “short chains of amino acid monomers linked by peptide (amide) bonds.” Basically, this implies that peptides are so small that they’re better absorbed by our metabolism, fast.

Now, collagen is the most abundant protein in our body, the kind that renews cells in all areas of the body including: hair, skin, nails, eyes, teeth, cartilage, bones, tendons, internal organs, arteries, blood vessels, and the immune system.

What you might not know, is that, as we age - especially once we arrive at the graceful age of 30 - our body collagen production slows down, which means that our first wrinkles start to appear, our joints start to cause us stiffness or pain, and our immune system naturally weakens as our total muscle mass decreases.

By adding a scoop of non-GMO collagen peptides to your oat milk latte, you’re reducing the unwanted effects of the body’s natural aging process on your body, resulting in a healthier metabolism, stronger immune system, and smoother skin. Who could argue with that?
