Add a single-serving packet (11g) to your daily coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, smoothie, or even glass of water. Marine collagen won’t gel in cold liquids like gelatin will. Solubility is best when the liquid is added to the powder due to its low molecular weight. It is best taken with a source of vitamin C, as it will provide for maximum absorption in the body.
Marine collagen contains collagen type I and III. Collagen type I is the most abundant type and is similar to type III in that it is found in skin, tendons, bones, eyes, and teeth. However, once the collagen is hydrolyzed, the separate collagen types are not easily distinguishable.
The main difference between these two products is the collagen source. While our marine collagen is sourced from the skins of wild-caught fish, collagen peptides come from the hides of grass-fed cows. Also, marine collagen has a slightly lower molecular weight (3000 daltons vs. 5000 daltons) and is considered to be more highly bioavailable, but it's also more expensive. They contain the same amino acids, but the profiles are slightly different, with the marine collagen containing a higher concentration of glycine.
Our marine collagen is made from wild-caught whitefish (cod, pollock, haddock, and hake), which are sustainably fished in the pristine deep waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. The raw materials are sourced from Iceland, and then the collagen is produced in Canada in a facility that only manufactures fish collagen/gelatin, so there is no possibility of cross-contamination with bovine and porcine products. It is hydrolyzed using natural fruit enzymes without the use of high heat to keep the peptides intact. It contains no hormones, antibiotics, fillers, sweeteners, or flavors. Amandean marine collagen is bottled in the US at an FDA-registered cGMP facility, where every batch is rigorously tested for purity and safety.

I've been using this product in the large container for a few years. I mix it in morning coffee as part of my daily routine. I decided to try the small packets for travel and they worked great. The powder seems to be good so far but I have only taken it a couple of times. However, the packaging was a mess! The box had powder sitting in the bottom and powder all over the outside. I haven't dug through all of the packets to see how many were open but it was a lot of powder leakage!
Well that's definitely frustrating! We're sorry to hear this and of course we will make it right. Sometimes the box can get squished and pop open some of the packets, or on a few occasions, it has been caused by altitude changes during shipping. Love this Collagen and happy so can now easily pack it for trips. I use it religiously every day.
While it was flavorful-less and helped with my knee joint pain, it was next to impossible to get to dissolve. I had to use an batterie powered frother and hot hot liquid to still end up with tiny little floaters. I recently tried the vital protein version which blends/dissolves beautifully and is also offered in the individual packets.
This product as real results. My skin and my hair were so much healthier. I tried a different Amazon product that wasn’t single serving and every benefit I got from this product was erased. Choose carefully. Choose this one.

Okay, I read all the reviews before I ordered this. I was previously spending HUNDREDS of dollars a month on an MLM liquid marine collagen. I decided to try these for the value. 1. Mixing - these have a slightly fishy smell and are very dusty. I followed other review suggestions for mixing and they worked beautifully. Make sure to use boiling hot liquid to mix. I alternate between water and almond milk. Once you pour the hot liquid into the cup with the powder, stir vigorously until dissolved. It dissolves completely within about 45 seconds.2. Taste - Unless you enjoy the fishy water, I would suggest finding some strong flavored beverage mix to add in. I have tried chai tea (not strong enough to mask the fish taste.) Hot Cocoa mix is my go to. It blends in perfectly with the collagen and hot water and you can't taste anything but cocoa, so it's delicious. This is why I sometimes use almond milk. But it is also good with water. Just be sure to mix the collagen powder and hot liquid FIRST. Once the collagen has dissolved completely, add the cocoa mix.3. Results - well, the jury is still out on this one. I have not been able to stay consistent in taking this, so I am not really sure if it is doing much for me. The premixed MLM liquid I was taking before produced some noticeable results, but it was easier to be consistent since it was ready to drink. I suspect I would get the same results from this product with consistency.
I buy this item as a tub, but the stick version is great for travel and when your on the go. The collegen itself works well, my whole family uses it know.
My goal was a marine - not cow/bovine - collagen mix to add to my morning coffee. I have been using Amandean Grass-Fed Hydrolyzed Collagen Protein and Orgain unflavored packets. Both mix easily in morning coffee and help me not be so hungry in the morning. This marine version forms a slimy glob that requires a lot more effort than a spoon stir to dissolve. There is no flavor or fish smell.I'll use the marine version sparingly, when I have the time to force the missing of the powder into the fluid.
It gets messy so watch out to open it in your car :S

I use the regular tub Amandean marine collagen but got the small packs for traveling and it’s the same quality and convenient!
I use this collagen powder every day and purchase it in the larger containers but, for travel, I like to have the individual pouches on hand. This shipment, two of the pouches leaked which was a) messy, and b) a loss of pricey product. I don’t have time to return this package and request an exchange before my next trip but I’m disappointed that I’ve lost two packages. I’m hoping for a partial refund or discount on my next purchase but I don’t see where to request that so I’m writing this review in the hope that the supplier reads it.
My wife and I recently learned of the need for collagen supplements in our 40's. We got her a more expensive liquid elixer and I tried this. I did notice some tightening in my forehead wrinkles, but a major loss of energy, sex drive and stamina. My wife however, experienced skin improvement, more energy and stamina. She says she feels younger. Lesson learned, there is a reason this is cheaper. I'm switching to the stuff that works even though it's 5 times more expensive.
I had not used this brand before and needed some collage to travel with. The size and packability are great and the taste is fine. However, this brand doesNOT mix in well at all.. I just dont like big clumps of goo in my coffee. I'll stick to the brand that dissolves better.
